YIKES! My favorite customer just about cleaned me out this morning. Six books gone in minutes :-)
I guess I will have my work cut out for me between now and the Sept. fair. Only have 3 or 4 left, but I am always joyful when people appreciate my work. The piano-hinged page shows which ones sold. Is this a good sign for 2010?
This winter turned out to be a doozy! Husband fell off the roof on Feb. 27 - two full stories plus - putting life on a new track. Weeks of traveling daily to Mass. General and then to a Haverhill acute care facility consumed my time. It was touch and go at first, but now we call him the miracle man. He came home at the end of April and will go back to work soon with no limitations.
However, any kind of crafting did not take a back seat; it wasn't even in the car. In addition, as a result of living in the car hours a day, advocating as much as I could, I developed new back, knee, and shoulder problems (do not drive daily in and out of Boston!!!). The fun just never ends, and I am certain that many of you understand completely the situation I was in.
About 4 weels ago I began puttering again and jus finished up 8 boxes of booklets which are real charmers. And to pamper myself a bit I will be taking a class in another unique book for the next 4 weekends. It has a wood cover and is lovely. Will have at least one ready by mid August.
This year I will also be adding a few Christmas paper trees to see how they sell. I think they are beautiful. Hope you do, too.
I will not do any fairs this summer and probably not in the future. The heat and humidity has become too much. However, the fall schedule is starting to firm up. I have three definite fairs, so check out that page. If I add more, they will appear on the site.
